Collage

Using a gelli plate and acrylic paints, I print each piece of paper used in my collages, by hand, through a process called monoprinting. I am relatively new to paper collage, having been introduced to it in late 2021. Working in this medium reignited something in me, and is where I am currently spending most of my creative time. My color choices and design style are typically vibrant takes on nature with folk art influences. Those monoprinted papers create a painterly effect, and I often layer papers so that shapes beneath the surface become visible when viewed from just the right angle.
