Needle-Felted Fairy Workshop
Step into a bit of magic and create your own whimsical wool fairy or angel in this hands-on workshop. Artist Lisa Ackerman of lil fish studios will guide you through the art of needle-felting — a fun, forgiving process that transforms fluffy wool into soft sculpture using a specially barbed needle.
You’ll learn the basics of shaping, layering, and attaching wool to form your fairy’s body, clothing, and wings. This is a great project if you plan to make gifts for the holidays. Felted angels look beautiful hanging on the tree, and you’ll have a variety of colors to choose from to make your own unique creation.
This class is perfect for beginners as well as those with some felting experience. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary — just bring your imagination and a sense of wonder!
$40 per person. Limited to 12 participants.
Additional supplies may be purchased from the instructor after class if desired.
Class will take place at The Last Turn, 214 S 8th St, Brainerd. Participants will receive a complimentary drink with their ticket purchase (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Come early for dinner, then meet us promptly at 5:30 in the back room. Class runs until 7:30 but if you don’t finish, never fear, you will have plenty of materials to take home and I’m always available for questions. *Please note: this location is not handicapped accessible.
